Dr. Samantha Stuek is an accomplished Assistant Attending Physician at Hospital for Special Surgery, specializing in family medicine with an additional qualification in sports medicine. Her mission is to assist patients of all ages in returning to their active lifestyles. Her journey into medicine was sparked by her own experience as a collegiate athlete at Johns Hopkins University, where she competed in field hockey and track and field, and suffered an ACL injury. She further honed her expertise in sports medicine through a fellowship at the University of Connecticut, during which she supported all university sports as a team physician, including the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams. Her fellowship also included roles as team physician for Division III Eastern Connecticut University teams and the Hartford Athletics professional soccer team. Remaining active, Dr. Stuek enjoys running and participating in local exercise classes. She has contributed as a medical volunteer at major events such as the NYC Marathon, Marine Corps Marathon, Boston Marathon, Lake Placid IronMan, and Falmouth Road Race.
