Dr. Jaclyn McKenna is a key member of the Hospital for Special Surgery, where she focuses on the nonsurgical management of a variety of acute, overuse, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. She is recognized for her expertise in internal medicine and holds a special qualification in sports medicine.
Growing up on Long Island, Dr. McKenna earned her undergraduate degree from The College of William and Mary, actively participating in Division I basketball and volleyball. She went on to pursue her medical degree at Stony Brook University, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Brown University, where she was appointed chief resident. Further honing her skills, she completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of South Carolina, during which she served as a team physician for all university sports, including providing sideline support for the football, women's basketball, and baseball teams.
Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. McKenna maintains an active lifestyle, enjoying beach volleyball, snowboarding, paddle boarding, and weight lifting.
